Here is a ‘copy & paste’ of college papers, movie synapses, short stories and the edited parts cut out of stories of my own. The contents are entirely of my own, and also include the cover letters and resumes of jobs applied for with some or no follow-up.
“The Revolution has no leader and no hero, we all are the revolution, the same and different, the chaos of the storm and the calm of the ocean,” the voice as from the radio broadcast was standing with the sheet of window glass behind. “Beep. Awake! Listen to the broadcast—And there will be food, eggplants will grow! Tomatoes!”
This stuff is so hip I am tempted to quit my job and work on my chess game until I can hold my own with the ninja hustlers in Dupont Circle. For cheap amusement, I could follow around the local code enforcement officers, easy-going men unafraid to laugh at the words hooch or poon used singly or together in the same sentence, stifling my glee as they cite the neighborhood holocaust denier for not sufficiently restraining the pair of Dobermans who patrol his front yard like bouncers on Benzedrine. This masterpiece is the kind of thinker who is convinced that Jefferson was an economic genius and Native Americans are not the ancient peoples they claim to be.
